Kelsey Plemmons

Manager, Physician Engagement

Kelsey Plemmons serves as the Manager of Physician Engagement at NephCure, where she plays a key role in fostering relationships with medical professionals and advancing physician involvement in rare kidney disease (RKD) initiatives. She was promoted to this role in February 2025 after initially joining the organization as a Project Coordinator in early 2024.

During her time at NephCure, Kelsey has led several impactful initiatives, including coordinating the first cohort of physician advocates at Rare Kidneys on the Hill Day, overseeing the nomination and onboarding process for over two dozen new NephCure Specialists, and launching the organization’s first Annual NephCure Specialist Education and Awareness Package for specialists nationwide. She also assisted with organizing NephCure’s presence at the American Society of Nephrology (ASN) annual meeting in San Diego and organized the first NephCure Physician Advisory Board meeting in New York City prior to the 2025 Patient Summit.

Before joining NephCure, Kelsey began her career in a physician-owned orthopedic practice in Charlotte, North Carolina, where she held various patient-facing roles. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Public Health with a concentration in Health Studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2022.

Originally from North Carolina, Kelsey is passionate about supporting the RKD community and is excited to continue growing her career at NephCure.
