Manu Varma, DO

Manu was first diagnosed with chronic kidney disease as a child in 1992 and received a living donor kidney transplant from his father in 2000. Over the last 20+ years as a young adult living with a kidney transplant, he has been widely involved in the kidney disease and transplant communities. With Nephcure, he first became affiliated from 2008-2010 as a scientific programs consultant and joined the board of directors in 2010. During this time, he has had several roles serving the research and advocacy missions of Nephcure. Professionally, he is a transplant physician specializing in pediatric heart transplantation as well as general pediatric cardiology, pediatrics, and internal medicine.
