Jim Duquette

Jim Duquette is a Major League Baseball analyst and former MLB general manager with a 30-year career in the professional baseball industry. He has served as the lead baseball analyst for SiriusXM’s MLB Network Radio for the past 13 years. He also hosts nearly 50 pre- and post-game shows for the New York Mets TV network, SNY, and appears on the MLB Network and MidAtlantic Sports Network as an expert analyst.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Duquette worked in the New York Mets’ front office for 15 years, rising to the position of general manager for the 2003 and 2004 seasons. He then moved on to become the co-general manager of the Baltimore Orioles in 2006 and 2007.

Mr. Duquette has served as a NephCure Board Member since 2004, when his 2-year-old daughter, Lindsey, was diagnosed with Nephrotic Syndrome. She was later diagnosed with FSGS, and by 2011, had gone into kidney failure and needed both of her kidneys removed. The next year, in hopes of getting Lindsey off daily dialysis, the Duquettes began searching for a kidney donor — and Mr. Duquette was a perfect match. He donated his kidney to his daughter at Johns Hopkins Hospital in June 2012. This year marks the 10th anniversary of Lindsey’s successful transplant.

Mr. Duquette and his family have been active members of the NephCure community and our fundraising
efforts for the past 18 years. In addition to his work with NephCure, Mr. Duquette serves as a board
member for several other charities.
