Ariana Barton

Community Leader

Ariana, a native Texan, lives in southwest Houston with her husband Brien and their cats. She was diagnosed with IgA Nephropathy in 2022 after many months of fighting for a diagnosis. Her difficult experience has led her to become an advocate for kidney patients, particularly those with rare diseases. Shortly after her diagnosis, Ariana began to volunteer with the IgAN Foundation, NephCure, and other organizations. She also shares her journey through her blog, Life With IgAN, and her social media accounts. One of her main goals is to raise awareness about rare kidney disease to help improve patient outcomes.
