Landon had just celebrated his 2nd birthday when he became swollen. We took him to the doctor right away, and within 24 hours he was diagnosed with Nephrotic Syndrome. He went through five relapses in a year and is considered prednisone dependent. We are doing a very slow taper right now, and if he stays in remission we will not have to visit a second line medication.

He is a very active 3-year-old and loves playing with his big brothers. It’s a very frustrating experience at first, but it actually gets a little easier. Just try to keep them active and treat them as normal as possible.
