Teagan was diagnosed with Nephrotic Syndrome after fighting a virus in early 2014 — she had puffy eyelids at the end of a day in preschool at the age of 3. She was deemed steroid resistant, and was spilling protein for seven long months through multiple changes in medications. She finally reached remission on a combination of prednisolone, Prograf, and CellCept.

Despite the side effects, a few scares, and hospital stays, Teagan has remained stable for over a year and attends kindergarten. She takes eight daily medications, but doesn’t let her kidney disease prevent her from playing soccer, skiing, and playing with her sister and friends.
