This event has been accredited as group learning activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (maximum 16.75 hours) by the McGill Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Office. The McGill CPD Office is accredited by the Committee on Accreditation of Canadian Medical Education (CACME) as an accrediting body for continuing medical education activities of physicians.
Through an agreement between the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the American Medical Association (AMA), physicians may convert Royal College MOC credits to AMA PRA Category CreditsTM. Information on the process to convert Royal College MOC credit to AMA credit can be found at www.ama-assn.org/go/internationalcme. The AMA charges a processing fee for credit conversion.
Through an agreement between the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the European Union of Medical Specialists – European Accreditation Council for CME (UEMS-EACCME®), the UEMS-EACCME® will convert the number of MOC Section 1 by a Royal College accredited CPD provider into ECMECs®, upon first request of a physician.
