About Workshop #2:
Fondo
We started this journey with a workshop where we brought together multi-stakeholders (physicians, patient advocates, researchers, access experts, policymakers, regulators and industry representatives) for a 2.5 day meeting with panel discussions and consensus-leading conversations where we discussed barriers to IgAN care.
We arrived at the conclusion that the most pressing barriers that we need to address and overcome in the care of patients living with IgAN are the following:
- Urgency in early diagnosis
- Urgency to treat
- Improve access
- Evidence generation
The main outputs from the workshop are highlighted on the IgAN Alliance landing page, including a poster summarizing outputs from the workshop and a white paper to come.
About Workshop #2
After the initial workshop, we launched working groups to address barriers to care: urgency in early diagnosis, urgency to treat, improve access and evidence generation. Workshop #2 will convene about 75-100 working group participants and interested leaders in the community to deliberate on action plans which translate identified barriers to care into accelerating meaningful, real-world change. It will be a dedicated time to pressure test solutions before the real work begins.
Note: Registration for the event is by invitation only
Expected Outcomes
Outputs agreed upon at the workshop will lead to definitive solutions and strategies to begin addressing across each working group.
