Allison Bones
Manager, Corporate Partnerships
Joining NephCure in June 2025, Allison Bones is honored to serve as Manager, Corporate Partnerships. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing from Baylor University and previously worked in Operations at GE Capital. Her passion for supporting the rare disease community came from unspeakable tragedy. In March 2018, she lost her husband Jamie to colorectal cancer. Just five months later, their son Travis, aged 4, died of the previously undiagnosed rare disease Isolated Congenital Asplenia (ICA).
Faced with compound grief and the desire to prevent Travis' tragedy from befalling another family, Allison channeled her energy into creating the first and only nonprofit in the world to support ICA. It is not only Travis’ legacy but also mission-driven to raise awareness, advocate for more comprehensive newborn screening and genetic testing, and fund research on the genetic mutations in spleen development. While Travis’ foundation continues to grow, Allison brought her passion for rare disease advocacy to NephCure. She manages the relationships with our Industry Partners in support of our patient community living with rare kidney diseases.
Her mom lives with her in Goodyear, Arizona. If the two aren't taking a road trip, they are spending time with family and friends who have become chosen family. Allison's hobbies include watching football (both college and pro), cooking, travel, trivia, hiking, bowling, pickleball and celebrating her Italian heritage. Some of her favorite travel memories include fishing on Flathead Lake in Whitefish, Montana, spending time with family in Italy, and touring Machu Picchu and Lima, Peru.
