Tailgate for a Cause Raises Nearly $40K
The 13th annual Tailgate for a Cause was held
on Sunday, December 4 in the parking lot outside MetLife Stadium prior to the
New York Giants game against the Green Bay Packers.
Although the hometown Giants fell in the final seconds to
the undefeated Green Bay Packers, 38-35, participants of Tailgate for a Cause
raised nearly $40,000 to benefit The NephCure Foundation in honor of Jed
Silverman, a 3-year-old Nephrotic Syndrome patient.
Tailgate for a Cause included food provided by the famous
chefs at Tao, Lavo and Lure; drinks poured by the fabulous bartenders from
Avenue and Lavo Night Club; music; luxury VIP buses with HDTVs for football
viewing; live and silent auctions; rare sports memorabilia; cigar rollers;
raffles; box pools and much more. Participants then either went into the
stadium or stayed at the tailgate and watched the game in the parking lot.
