Mechanicville, NY Family Raises $12K for NephCure 

Over 200 people came out to the American Legion Hall in Mechanicville, NY, on Saturday, August 27 to enjoy a great day of music, BBQ, raffles and auctions, raising over $12,000 for The NephCure Foundation in honor of FSGS patient Cody Gleeson.

The Gleeson family and the NY Rolling Pride Motorcycle Club organized the event, which was highlighted by an auction of Yankees tickets that included the winner’s name on the scoreboard and a behind-the-scenes tour. Other great items included custom painted helmets, a coveted Heineken mini refrigerator, outings, dining certificates and Black and Decker tools.

The Gleeson family lives in Mechanicville, NY, which is located approximately 20 miles north of Albany, NY.

Hurricane Irene seemed to turn a blind eye to the festivities and the weather held out with the clouds only rolling in as the committee starting packing up for the day.
